Interim Head of Corporate Facilities Management
Based in London, hybrid (3 days per week onsite)
Length: 6 months

We are currently supporting a Local Authority client to recruit an interim Head of Corporate Facilities Management, who will join the team at an exciting time of significant transformation and change.
Key Responsibilities of the Interim Head of Corporate Facilities Management include:
- Leading the delivery of the CFM service and supporting colleagues in their contract management of an under-performing outsourced provider
- Finalising the Council’s strategy for replacing their outsourced provider, culminating in the presentation of a strategy report to cabinet in October 2025
- Leading the development of a new approach to statutory compliance across the Council’s estate
- Playing a significant leadership role in their Corporate Real Estate programme and a range of associated programmes and projects designed to better utilise the Council’s estate
Experience and knowledge required of the Interim Head of Corporate Facilities Management:
- A track record of leadership in facilities management, ideally within a local authority or similarly complex organisation
- Previously led both in-house and outsourced service delivery
- A people-centred approach to leadership and management, with experience of leading teams through uncertainty and change – this is a high priority for the interim appointed to the assignment
- Excellent technical knowledge
