Head of Finance – Permanent Position – Banking, London-based firm
Venn Group recruitment consultancy have partnered with a bank in London to augment their Finance department’s strategy by recruiting a new Head of Finance to work permanently within the organisation. The individual who holds this position will be responsible for orchestrating organsational change and amending policies pertaining to numerous banking entities across a range of international offices, coordinating and driving forward activities that increase productivity and profitability for the banking entity as a whole.
Acting as Head of Finance across 10+ banking entities, managing a portfolio of assets worth ~USD 3 billion, and consolidating regulatory policies to adhere to legislations in the UK and abroad, this position is pivotal to the profitability and functionality of the bank and therefore requires applicants to demonstrate successful experience with the aforementioned responsibilities.
This position has a broad scope and offers the opportunity for the role-holder to directly oversee the implementation of multiple projects across transnational jurisdictions, coordinating accurate responses to regulatory initiatives (IFRS and US GAAP), and designing the accounting strategy for various offices.
Candidates must demonstrate both occupational and academic qualifications, including holding a Chartered Accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/ACMA with a relevant university degree), extensive industry-specific experience in the Banking and Leasing sectors, and both direct and indirect Tax knowledge.
It is also essential that candidates display excellent knowledge of leasing, loans, and derivatives, so as to be able to assimilate into the business readily and hit the ground running. This role also requires that candidates are highly competent using Excel and modelling.
