Fixed-term opportunities for a growing Social Enterprise

Venn Group is partnering with a medium-sized and ambitious Social Enterprise to recruit two Qualified Accountants with 2-3 years PQE on a fixed-term contract basis to meet the growing demand on the finance team.

Due to a restructuring we’re seeking a Head of Finance and a Financial Controller, to lead the commercial and statutory requirements of the business respectively.

The Head of Finance will manage a small team of business partners and will lead on the medium/long-term financial strategy and planning of the organisation. It is hoped that you will drive sustainable and profitable performance whilst ensuring each project is in line with high operating standards.

The Financial Controller will be responsible for accurate and relevant MI reporting and the production of monthly management accounts incorporating detailed P&L analysis. They will also handle the statutory reporting requirements and will oversee the transactional finance function.

The roles are offered on a predominantly home-working basis with attendance required on-site only once or twice per week. The main office is Hertfordshire based but you will also be asked, on occasion to travel to other sites across the South-East.

In order to be considered for either of these excellent opportunities, you should be a qualified Accountant with several years’ post-qualification experience. You should have some experience or ambition in leading a small finance team with hands on experience in commercial or statutory accounting in industry, dependent on the role for which you apply. You must be able to demonstrate effective communication with all levels of seniority both within finance and across the wider business.
