Interim Head of Integrated Commissioning and System Development

An opportunity has arisen with one of our London based clients for a Head of Integrated Commissioning and System Development. The local authority and integrated care board have come together to create an integrated approach to commissioning services within the borough and the successful candidate will play a key role in implementing this approach.
Key responsibilities of the Interim Head of Integrated Commissioning and System Development:
- Leading the development and implementation of the integrated commissioning approach for adults in and across the Council and the NHS
- Enable strong partnerships and high-quality services that support local residents to lead healthy, fulfilling and independent lives
- Supporting senior leaders through partnership and co-production, continued design and implementation of the framework, incorporating appropriate governance structures and working collaboratively with the markets and residents
- Leading staff across the system to implement transformational change including further integration of health, care and other forms of support
- Overseeing the delivering of approaches to commissioning that address personalisation and whole person pathways
Essential experience for the Interim Head of Integrated Commissioning and System Development:
- Experience in a role of similar nature within a local authority setting
- Extensive knowledge of health/care policy and practice along with experience of its implementation gained in a health, care or local authority setting
- Thorough knowledge of legislation relevant to the role such as the Health and Care Act 2022
