Housing Litigation Lawyer – South-East – Competitive Hourly Rate (DOE) – Hybrid Working – 1 day Office attendance per fortnight
 
Position: Housing Litigation Lawyer
Organisation: London based Local Authority
Duration: Initial 3 month contract with ability to extend.
Working Pattern: Full time
Working Arrangement: Remote working with 1 day Office attendance per fortnight
Hourly Rate: Competitive hourly rate (DOE)

Venn Group’s legal team are in partnership with a Local Authority in the South-East in their search for a Locum Housing Lawyer.
 
The ideal candidate for this role will be either a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx who has a proven track record of successfully managing their own case load of Housing Litigation matters within local government.


Duties shall include:

1. To handle a caseload of housing litigation matters
2. To provide legal advice on all aspects of housing law, including prosecutions and disrepair claims
3. To negotiate, draft and agree legal documentation
4. To have knowledge around the pre-action protocols in possession claims, succession claims and non-occupation/subletting
