A well-respected Local Authority is actively seeking a committed and motivated Housing Team Leader to be responsible for providing a comprehensive housing service across the Resident Services area.
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £39,718 - £46,569 (depending on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Key duties:
- Lead and manage the Housing Management Team, including four Income Officers, delivering a proactive income collection service focused on early intervention and tenancy sustainment
- Support, coach, and develop team members, ensuring they have the skills and confidence to handle complex and challenging cases, with regular performance reviews and tailored development plans
- Take the lead on complex income management cases, providing expert guidance and support to the team on exceptional or high-risk matters
- Ensure the effective delivery of the income collection service across all tenures, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards for social housing and the Housing Ombudsman’s requirements
- Provide timely and accurate responses to enquiries from MPs, Councillors, and other key stakeholders, ensuring a professional and solution-focused service
The successful candidate should have:
- Basic DBS
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of working in a housing organisation
- Experience of working with tenants, leaseholders and external agencies.
