An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR Change Manager to join a London based university. This role is pivotal in leading the people aspects of organisational change following a merger to ensure a smooth integration of Professional services and alignment with the University’s strategic goals.

- Working pattern: Hybrid – 3 days on site
Job responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the people aspects of the integration process, ensuring effective delivery of change initiatives and minimising impact on staff.
- Partner with Professional Service Directors and the Change Support Unit to design and implement change proposals aligned with Target Operating Model principles.
- Oversee and coordinate individual and collective consultation processes, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and transparent communication.
- Act as HR lead for trade union engagement, maintaining constructive relationships and managing formal consultations.
- Provide strategic HR advice on employee relations, redundancy, redeployment, and organisational restructuring.
- Develop training and resources for managers to lead teams through change, focusing on communication and wellbeing.
Produce regular reports for senior leadership on consultation outcomes, risks, and progress against change objectives.
Candidate profile:
- Proven experience in employee relations and leading change initiatives, ideally within a complex, post-merger environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice, particularly in restructures and consultations.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly organised, with strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative approach.
