HR Officer
Length of contract: 2/3 months
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Clearance Required: Basic DBS/BPSS
A Central Government department is seeking a HR Officer to work closely with the whole HR team to provide efficient administrative support across all HR aspects to ensure effective delivery of the service is maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively and efficiently manage various inboxes and provide efficient transactional HR administrative support to the team
- Develop, manage and implement a range of processes and procedures to support an effective HR service, including but not limited to employee benefits, DBS, other clearances, Right to Work and onboarding
- Process People & Talent invoices, raising Purchase Orders and GRN invoices on the finance system
- Develop, manage, and implement a range of ‘standard operating procedures’ (SOPs) for all core activity areas
- Support the HR Manager to implement annual performance pay, bonus awards and delivery of the annual performance management cycle by collating documents, ratings, producing letters, updating pay scales and updating Human Resources Information System (CIPHR)
- Produce HR payroll workflows for new starters, leavers, pay changes and maternity/paternity
- Calculate staff entitlements and manage staff benefits
- Troubleshoot a wide variety of user and access queries on CIPHR, iRecruit, LearnUpon and others
Key Requirements:
- CIPD qualified at level 5 or equivalent experience with broad knowledge of employment law, HR processes and HR best practices
- Experience of working with various HRIS systems and applications
- Management of complex payroll and employee benefits processing
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Experience in using CIPHR HRIS system and i-Recruit ATS
