An excellent Support Provider in Bristol are recruiting for Income Coach to provide a high-quality income support service to service users
Location: Bristol
Contract duration: 3 Months +
Hours: 37 per week
Rate: £13.30 umbrella

Day to day responsibilities include:
- Support tenants to claim welfare benefits and with appropriate grant applications
- Encourage customers to maximise their income and prevent housing and other debts arising, sign posting to debt advice, and liaising with external agencies as appropriate
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Finance, and Housing Management Team, regarding payments, to ensure rent accounts are accurately and routinely monitored
- Maintain a close relationship with the Housing Benefit service and the Department of Work and Pensions, supplying and verifying information to help the timely processing of claims
- Using a PAT approach, prevent tenancy breakdown and the accumulation of arrears wherever possible, however, when this is unsuccessful, prepare cases for Court action, provide evidence, and represent the organisation at Court
- Carry out home visits when necessary to establish any reasons for non-payment of arrears and agree an appropriate repayment plan
- Identify local support networks and work with local partners, signposting and referring where appropriate
- Provide weekly arrears and void reports and monthly and quarterly statements for licensees and tenants as appropriate
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with housing associations and other partner agencies, promote, and facilitate service user involvement and inclusion within the organisation and the community
- Manage caseload, documentation, and time effectively, making best use of supervision, reflective practice, training, and staff development
Essential criteria include:
- Experience of Rent and arrears management
- Extensive knowledge of the welfare benefits system and how this relates to supported accommodation
- Current enhanced DBS
- Driver with access to your own vehicle (Desirable)
