Interim Commissioning Manager (Education)
Location: London (Remote with ad-hoc office days)
Length: 3-6 months
IR35 Status: Inside
One of our local authority clients is looking to recruit an Interim Commissioning Manager with extensive experience in Education to support the Commissioning Lead with various projects across Schools Operations, SEND, and School Improvement and Inclusion.
The Interim Commissioning Manager (Education) will involve strategic commissioning, service review, quality assurance and performance monitoring as well as working with and robustly managing providers to ensure that the services in place respond to and reflect the outcomes the Council seeks to achieve for its population. Some of the key projects requiring support include a review around therapies and work on assisted transport.
Experience required of the Interim Commissioning Manager (Education):
- Strong commissioning experience within Education (e.g. SEND)
- Recently worked within local government
- Ability to instil confidence and gain credibility quickly
- Would also consider candidates who have previously worked at commissioning lead or head of service level, as there is a lot of pressure to deliver in this space
