Interim SEN Assessment and Commissioning Lead

A local authority in London is recruiting for a SEN Assessment and Commissioning Lead who will be responsible for the strategic development of services focussing on delivering a comprehensive EHCP and commissioning plan.
Brief:
- Responsible for particular pieces of work, influencing the team through direct line management of up to 3 staff, to improve service efficiency
- Deliver a programme of operational and commissioning requirements centred around SEND Services
- Focus on out of area reviews and other associated responsibilities
- Report to Group Manager SEN
- Show awareness of the available budget to support children with SEND
- Work within budget constraints and value for money principles
- Work occasional evenings and weekends in order to meet service requirements
Key Skills
- Strong delivery experience of SEND EHCP work
- SEND strategies across local authorities
- Operational SEND management experience
- Stakeholder engagement and contract management
- Previously worked in a local authority
- Proven ability to work fluidly in ambiguous circumstances
- Demonstrate an analytical and strategic approach in previous roles
