Interim Senior Children’s Commissioning Manager
Location: London (hybrid working, x1/2 days per week in the office)
Status: Inside IR35
Length: 3 - 6 months initially
We are looking for an Interim Senior Children’s Commissioning Manager to support social care Services in the Borough.
Key Responsibilities of the Interim Senior Children’s Commissioning Manager:
- Deliver against several programme objectives across health, social care and education affecting children and young people across the borough
- Improve Children’s and Young People’s health, social care and education through outcomes based joint commissioning of high-quality services
- Effectively manage a small, newly formed Commissioning team including a Commissioning officer and two Commissioning Managers
- Oversee the commissioning of Children’s areas such as Young people’s housing and risk of homelessness, Short break and SEND Transport
- Conduct a successful tender process on Short Breaks
- Successfully work with a variety of key partnerships and stakeholders including CCG colleagues
Skills and experience required of the Interim Senior Children’s Commissioning Manager:
- Best practice Commissioning practice in Children’s Social care, Local Government ideally in SEN/Short Breaks and Children’s Domiciliary care
- Team leadership and management
- Understanding of and commitment to improving Children’s and Young People’s social care services through outcomes-based commissioning of high-quality services
- Good track record of stakeholder management and employing a range of listening, influencing and negotiation styles
