Role: IT Housing Systems Developer
Type: Permanent opportunity
Salary: £34,000 - £38,500pa +Benefits DOE
Location: Birmingham – Remote with ad-hoc mandatory site attendance; Mon-Fri
Venn Group is pleased to partner with a Housing Association in the West Midlands to recruit an IT Professional who will successfully implement and deliver improvements to key digital solutions for housing management systems and applications. The successful applicant will work closely with IT colleagues, service areas, and external suppliers, to ensure system functionality and application workflows are closely aligned to business processes. As well as delivering designs, builds, and testing housing systems, applications, and integrations, the post-holder will also be responsible for providing end user training, process maps, and documenting technical configurations.
Key duties:
- Supporting business critical transactional systems, incident management and resolutions
- Major system implementation in a project management environment, including UAT and an understanding of relational database schemas, application layers, modules, and integration
- Providing highlight progress updates and reports
- Understanding, managing, and compiling accurate and complex documentation such as system specifications, written processes, and process maps
- Analysing and communicating technical or complex ideas and configurations into concise understandable language to non-technical colleagues, recording and reporting information clearly and concisely
- Working as part of a team, excellent interpersonal and relationship building with staff, peers, board members, and external suppliers
- Using technical system documentation to turn into technical specifications, implementing and training end users
Further requirements:
- Experience of administration and maintenance of a housing management system and related systems and applications (MRI product suite preferred)
- Understanding of relational database schemas, application layers, modules, and integration such as repairs, rents, arrears, case management/ workflow
- Confident in presenting written or verbal communications and extracting system data to meet the requirements of a business and stakeholders
- Good awareness of information security threats and mitigations and communicates complicated or sensitive information within the GDPR guidelines
- Knowledge of the housing sector, internal operational workflows, and interdepartmental dependencies
- Understanding of creating logic queries from database tables, project management methodology techniques and their role in delivering technical projects
- Awareness of SQL queries or similar reporting solutions
- Working experience of change management in an Agile environment
