Our client, a world leading Space company, urgently requires a Java Developer to undertake an initial 6-month contract, re-architecting legacy C++ products in Java.

Advantageous candidate experience:

• Java 8 onwards and JavaEE
• Spring framework
• JSON and XML
• Windows/Linux application archetypes as well as with Relational/NoSQL database server
• Maven, CI (Jenkins) and Test Driven Development
• Space, Aerospace or Communications background

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and developing current software products, a number of legacy C++ products need to be re-architected in Java to fulfil customer requirements
