Locum Adult Social Care Legal Officer – Predominantly Remote Working – Up to £35 per hour umbrella – West Midlands

Position: Locum Adult Social Care Legal Officer

Organisation: West Midlands based Local Authority

Duration: 3 months + with the possibility of extension thereafter

Working Pattern: Full Time

Working Arrangement: Predominantly remote working, office attendance once a week or once a month depending on candidates’ location

Hourly Rate: Up to £35 per hour Umbrella, dependent on experience

The ideal candidate will have recent experience within Adult Social Care Law within Local Government or the Public Sector.

Duties may include:

• Provide legal, clerical and administrative support to the Social Care team of Solicitors              
• Undertake a variety of Adult protection related activities under the designation of the Solicitors including case management, concerning Court of Protection, Deprivation of Liberty, and Community Deprivation of Liberty matters              
• Day to day liaisons with Social Care teams, courts, external partners, private practitioners, and other bodies              
• Collating evidence, preparing court applications, and continuing the document management of court cases
