Locum Commercial Contracts and Procurement Solicitor – West Midlands – Local Authority – 5 months – Remote Working – Up to £60 per hour Outside IR35
Venn Group have just been instructed of a new opportunity working on some exciting projects seeking a Locum Commercial Contracts and Procurement Solicitor to join their Authority on a 5-month initial contract with the likelihood of extension.
The Authority is based in the West Midlands and are seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts and Procurement Solicitor with relevant experience handling a commercial contacts caseload.
The Authority will consider both full time and part time applicants and the role can be carried out on an entirely remote working basis.
An attractive rate is on offer of up to £60 per hour Outside IR35 – however rate will be dependent on relevant experience handling a major projects caseload within Local Government.
The successful applicant for this position will have previous experience handling a large caseload dealing with a full variety of commercial contracts and procurement matters.
Role Responsibilities:
- Advising on general commercial projects and contracts
- Assisting the client department with upcoming waste procurement projects
- Negotiating and drafting funding agreements/central government funding
- Advising on procurement matters and subsidy control matters
- Occasionally advise on construction contracts, including JCTs /NECs
