Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer – Full Time – Up to £65 per hour umbrella – Remote Working – Initial 3 months
Venn Group’s specialist Legal team are currently recruiting for a Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join a Local Authority on an initial 3-month assignment. This role offers remote working following an on-site induction on the first day and provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commercial Lawyer to support a busy legal team.
The Role:
Position: Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer
Duration: Initial 3 months with the possibility for extension
Rate: Up to £65 per hour umbrella
Working Pattern: Full Time
Key Responsibilities:
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements
• Supporting with grant funding agreements and related documentation
• Advising on procurement matters in line with public sector requirements
• Providing general commercial and contractual advice to internal stakeholders
Ideal Candidate:
• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with recent public sector or local authority experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial and procurement law
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
