Locum Commercial Contracts & Procurement Lawyer – West Midlands – Fully Remote Working – 3 months initially – £45 - £50 per hour.
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are pleased to be recruiting for a Locum Commercial Contracts and Procurement Solicitor to join a prestigious Local Authority in the West Midlands. This assignment will be for an initial period of three months subject to possible extension and will be worked on a fully remote basis for the foreseeable future.
Ideally, the client would prefer this assignment to be worked on a full-time basis however candidates possessing part-time availability with relevant experience may also be considered.
The ideal candidate would be a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive who is able to handle a caseload of contracts and commercial matters with professional experience gained within Local Government.
Duties may include:
Focus on delivering successful outcomes across a wide range of projects which includes delivery of major transformational development and regeneration projects (including construction), creating trading companies and joint ventures, reviewing commercial contracts and providing extensive procurement advice.
Support on major projects and taking the lead and managing their own matters.
Support our company work which includes company secretarial duties as well as establishing and structuring corporate entities.
Provide a comprehensive range of commercially focused legal services to all Council Departments and our trading entities.
Work collaboratively and effectively with government departments, national and regional public bodies and the private sector.
A rate of between £45 and £50 Umbrella is being offered for this position dependant on experience.
