Locum Commercial Property Lawyer – East of England – 3-6 Months+ – Remote Working – up to £45 per hour (Umbrella)
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are excited to be recruiting for a Locum Commercial Property Lawyer to join a Local Authority legal team in the East of England.
The assignment is offered for an initial period of 3-6 months with the possibility of extension thereafter dependent upon workload. This role will be offered on a fully remote basis for the foreseeable future. Ideally, the client would like someone to take on the position on a full time basis, however candidates with part time availability possessing relevant experience may also be considered.
This role is suitable for a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with professional experience gained within Local Government
The council are seeking an experienced Property Lawyer who will be dealing with a variety Commercial Property matters.
Duties may include:

Working on commercial leases, licences, easements, agreements for lease and conditional contracts

Dealing with Right to Buys, Equity Share sales

Drafting and negotiating freehold transfers, deeds of surrender and investigation licenses

Dealing with the disposal and acquisition of freehold land

Taking responsibility of the service of Section 25 notices and receipt of Section

Preparing Licences and Leases under the Communications Act 2003
The position offers an hourly rate of £40 - £45 per hour dependent upon levels of experience.
