Locum Education/SEN Lawyer – East Anglia – Remote Working – Initial 3 Month Duration – Up to £45 per hour
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with a reputable Local Authority in East Anglia who are recruiting for a Locum Education SEN Lawyer to join their department.
The organisation are ideally seeking someone to take on the position on a full-time basis, however candidates with part-time availability possessing relevant experience will be considered.The role is offered for an initial period of 3 months with the possibility of extension and will be worked on a fully remote basis for the foreseeable future.
This opportunity is suitable for an experienced Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within Local Government and Education Law, specifically SEN matters.
Duties may include:

Dealing with all aspects of appeals to the SEND Tribunal, which includes drafting responses to appeals, instructing expert witnesses

Providing legal advice to the local authority and schools on education law matters

Supporting the Education Department with SEN ‘Guidance Notes’
An hourly rate of up to £45 (umbrella) is offered for this position dependent on levels of experience.
