Locum Information Governance Officer – Remote Working – Up to £30 per hour umbrella – Initial 3+ months

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently recruiting for an experienced Information Governance Officer to join a Local Authority on an initial 3-month contract. The role offers flexible remote working arrangements and is a great opportunity to join a friendly team.

The Role:

Position: Locum Information Governance Officer
Location: Remote
Duration: Initial 3+ months with likely extensions
Rate: Up to £30 per hour Umbrella

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Subject Access Requests (SARs) under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act
• Review and redact files for Subject Access Requests in line with legislation and council policy
• Redact third-party and sensitive information from records to ensure compliance
• Respond to all requestors within statutory timeframes, maintaining a high standard of accuracy and confidentiality

Ideal Candidate:

• Demonstrates strong understanding of Data Protection legislation and GDPR, particularly with a Local Authority setting
• Proven experience managing SARs and handling sensitive personal data
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Information Governance professional to contribute to an established local authority team.
