Locum Planning Lawyer – Initial 3+ months – Up to £60 per hour (Umbrella) – Remote Working – Full Time
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently recruiting for an experienced Planning Lawyer to join a Local Authority on a 3-month interim basis. This position offers remote working, with occasional Planning Committee attendance when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a varied caseload of Planning matters, including:
- Draft and negotiate S106 Agreements, alongside S38 & S78 Agreements
- Liaise with Planning Officers to draft committee reports
- Attend Planning Committees, where required, to support complex applications
- Drafting and negotiating Unilateral Undertakings and Deeds of Variation
- Advise on Certificates of Lawfulness and other related Planning matters
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with demonstrable experience in Planning Law within a Local Government setting
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to manage complex agreements and a varied caseload independently
- Availability to attend meetings or committees on occasion as required
