Locum Principal Property Lawyer – East Midlands – 3-6 Months+ – Hybrid Working – up to £400 per day (Umbrella)
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are excited to be recruiting for a Locum Property Lawyer to join a Local Authority legal team in the East Midlands.
The assignment is offered for an initial period of 3-6 months with the possibility of extension thereafter dependent upon workload. This role will be offered on a hybrid working basis for the foreseeable future. Ideally, the client would like someone to take on the position on a full time basis due to the managerial nature of the role.
This role is suitable for a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with management experience gained within Local Government.
The council are seeking an experienced Property Lawyer who will be dealing with a variety Commercial Property matters alongside assisting with managing the Property, Planning and Highways team.
Duties may include:

Deputise for the Head of Property, Planning and Highways where required

Supervise and manage the work of the team including development, mentoring and training

Provide training to clients including training courses, notes and clinics

Represent clients in negotiations and discussions with third parties in commercial property matters

Actively seek out new business development opportunities and to raise the profile with both the existing client base and potential new clients.
The position offers an hourly rate of £400 per day dependent upon levels of experience.
