Locum Right to Buy Paralegal – Up to £20 per hour Umbrella – Predominantly Remote Working – East Midlands
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are recruiting for a Locum Right to Buy Paralegal to join a Local Authority based in the East Midlands.
This position is offered on a 3 month full-time basis with the potential for extension. This role is provided as predominantly remote working but office presence will be required once or twice per week.
This role requires Right to Buy experience, and the successful candidate will be able to deal with Right to Buy’s and all relevant conveyancing matters. The rate the successful candidate will receive will be based on their individual experience up to £20 per hour umbrella.
Daily duties will include:
- Holding a range of legal files covering, predominantly but not exclusively focussing on Right to Buy matters
- Assisting the Legal Property Team with general property law matters as may be required such as conveyancing practice and procedure and residential property, Right to Buy and Shared Ownership matters
- Undertaking the preparation of all types of legal documents, letters and memoranda connected to Right to Buy including requests for consent to works, deeds of postponement and certificates
- Completing the relevant documentation for Shared Ownership sales, in relation to both the purchase of further or remaining shares and also consent to the sale of property
- Carrying out general tasks for the Council, to include liaising with other professional officers, Councillors, external organisations, and members of the public
- Effectively manage the Council’s Deeds Safe, including maintaining robust procedures for document storage, retrieval, return and cataloguing
