Locum Senior Planning Lawyer – East Midlands – Rate DOE – Remote – Initial 3+ months
Venn Group’s specialist legal team is currently working with a well-established Local Authority in the East Midlands to recruit a Senior Planning Lawyer to join the team on a locum basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Planning Lawyer to join a dynamic legal team..
The Role:
Position: Locum Senior Planning Lawyer
Rate: DOE
Duration: Initial 3+ months with the possibility for extension
Location: Remote working after the first day, possible committee support if needed
Hours: 30-37 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising on all matters relating to planning and some highways works
- Provide advice on S106 agreements and all other matters
- Support the planning team and liaise with Council officers to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and statutory duties
- Provide mentoring to junior staff members within the team
About You:
- A skilled and experienced Senior Planning Lawyer
- Experience of working in Local Government or the Public Sector
- Ability to provide mentorship and guidance to junior colleagues
