Logistics Coordinator
Location: Southampton
Length: 3 months
Rate: £15-20 p/h
Start: ASAP
Our client, a public sector organisation in Southampton is looking to appoint a Logistics Coordinator to join their team for a 3-month period.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Managing the organisation’s inventory stock levels
- Running and manipulation of routine monthly stock reports for the Procurement Team
- Closely monitoring and addressing product lines with low stock as these may generate back orders
- Processing the daily stock report sent at 4pm each day to maintain a daily stock levels spreadsheet
- Reviewing the Warehousing Service on a day-to-day basis seeking to fix problems as they occur and alerting the Head of Procurement of any issues
- Ensuring new products/brands are listed correctly by the Warehousing Service according to the agreed format
- Placing orders or arrange for orders to be placed for some items from various sources
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Experience of contract management or liaison with third party suppliers
- Experience of stock management or related area
- Competent and comfortable using Excel including: data extraction, data manipulation, pivots and formulae
