Maintenance Electrician Vacancy - Birmingham
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Location: Wolverhampton/Walsall/West Mids
Salary: TBD based upon experience
Working pattern: Monday to Friday-37.5 hr per week, on call shifts paid at time and a half
Venn Group are currently recruiting for multiple Maintenance Electrician(s) responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance across various Public Sector Organisations
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- The installation and maintenance of all electrical installations, plant and equipment and can work from technical drawings, manuals, and schematics, with a view to interpret the information for further development and resolution.
- The testing of all electrical installations, fire alarm systems and emergency lighting and associated plant and equipment. In association with this to modify ‘as fitted’ drawings with respect to circuit references and modifications.
- In terms of Health & Safety, to undertake and contribute towards the development of risk assessments which may be generic and dynamic, which must be recorded together with associated method statements as required. Also, to undertake assessments with respect to the COSHH regulations for any materials, liquids used whilst carrying out installation and maintenance work on site.
- Undertaking planned preventive maintenance routines throughout the site.
The successful candidate will have:
- Training in relevant discipline e.g. City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 Electrical or 18th Edition
- Relevant Qualifications (C&G or Equivalent to level 3)
- Previous experience of working in the building maintenance industry ideally within commercial dwellings
