Mental Health Crisis Support Worker
An excellent Support provider in Somerset requires an experienced Mental Health Support Worker with strong knowledge of supporting vulnerable clients who have experienced a mental health crisis.
Location: Somerset
Contract duration: 4-8 weeks initially (strong possibility of extension)
Hours: Various shifts (including weekends)

Day to day responsibilities include:
- Support clients that are experiencing mental health crisis’ who are looking for a safe space to take time out and recover
- Assist with the bookings of appointments for clients
- Provide emotional and practical advice to clients who may be in mental health crisis, in family breakdown and have various mental health conditions
- Provided 1:1 during support sessions
- Signpost service users to external support agencies
- Carry out risk and needs assessments
- Develop, review and monitor detailed support and safety plans
- Ensure vulnerable service users are safeguarded
- Support staff members to provide high quality advice and support to clients and provide a safe place where they can speak confidentially about their concerns
- Manage all case notes and ensure information is recorded on the database
- Liaise and work closely with various support services to ensure that clients receive the correct support
Essential criteria include:
- Strong demonstrable experience of supporting vulnerable clients with various mental health conditions
- Current enhanced DBS
- Driver with access to own car
