Mental Health Recovery and Wellbeing Worker

Venn Group Housing and Support Recruitment Team are currently recruiting for a temporary to permanent mental health recovery and wellbeing worker, a fantastic opportunity to work with a prestigious Support and Housing provider in Somerset.
Location: Somerset
Contract Type: Temporary to permanent
Hours: 37 hours Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
Hourly Rate: £10.00 - £11.00 PAYE

Day to day responsibilities include:
- Working with a caseload of adults with various mental health conditions and working with families who are at potential risk of harm
- Ensure that vulnerable people/children are safeguarded and work closely with social services
- Using psycho-social approach to deliver 1-1 and group interventions and support to aid clients to gain recovery and live independently
- Provide advice and support to those with complex needs such as mental health, drug and alcohol misuse and domestic violence
- Provide outreach services including home visits
- Work with vulnerable families/parents to implement and develop personal action plans
- Support clients to live a full life by enabling access to specialist mental health services, housing support, debt and employment advice
- Aid clients with general housing related support and enable them to access the correct housing benefits or Universal Credit
- Attend and actively participate in care planning and review meetings and attend child protection conferences/other case conferences or Family Courts
Essential skills and qualifications:
- A current valid DBS
- Strong knowledge in providing housing related support
- Experience in delivering interventions for people with complex needs
- Demonstrable experience of supporting those with mental health conditions and addiction
- Driver with access to their own car
