Data Platform Testing & Data Migration Team (Multiple Roles)
We are hiring for several positions within our clients Data Platform Testing and Migration team to support key Data Platform and Data Migration initiatives within the Bank. These roles will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of testing activities (including UAT, SIT, and Data Migration Testing) while ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. The successful candidates will work closely with Business and Technology teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that meet project goals and business expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy and Planning

Contribute to the creation and documentation of end-to-end Test Strategies for Data Platform and Data Migration programmes, ensuring alignment with project objectives and business needs.

Develop and manage test plans covering Functional, System Integration (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Data Migration Testing phases.

Identify testing risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Test Execution and Defect Management

Coordinate the full UAT lifecycle from planning to execution and stakeholder sign-off.

Lead the execution of data migration tests, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and performance standards are met.

Manage defect tracking, reporting, and resolution processes in collaboration with IT delivery teams and business users.
Data Quality and Validation

Use data profiling tools to identify and resolve data anomalies before and after migration.

Validate data transformation logic, data mapping, and lineage from source to target systems.

Support data quality control, data collection, cleansing, and remediation processes as needed.

Conduct post-migration data validation and reviews, ensuring the migrated data meets agreed business and operational requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

Act as a key liaison between Business users, IT teams, SMEs, and external vendors to ensure alignment on test objectives, progress, and outcomes.

Facilitate clear communication of test plans, status reports, defect summaries, and testing results to stakeholders at all levels.

Collaborate with business process owners to ensure business impacts are understood during testing and migration activities.
Data Governance and Compliance

Ensure testing activities comply with data governance standards, data privacy regulations, and organizational risk management frameworks.

Document test cases, test results, and maintain audit trails for all testing activities.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation

Identify opportunities to improve testing and data quality processes.

Support the implementation of the EMEA Data Strategy Framework.

Contribute to tool evaluations and process enhancements, ensuring efficient and effective testing operations.
Cutover and Post-Migration Support

Assist with cutover planning and execution, including runbook management for data migration activities.

Support business users during transition and post-migration activities including data validation and user training on the migrated data.

Participate in post-migration reviews to capture lessons learned and areas for future improvement.
Optional / Secondary Responsibilities (Depending on Role)

Develop and support data visualization and reporting solutions to provide insights on testing progress and data quality.

Support configuration and testing of business rules and tool-based semantic data validations.

Provide advisory support to business teams on data-related tools and best practices.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
-
Proven experience in Data Migration execution, Data Testing, and Data Quality Assurance.
-
Hands-on experience with data migration and testing tools (e.g., ETL Validator, Testing Xperts, TX tools, Dextrus, Azure Document DB, Beyond Compare, Informix, Integrate.io, Excel).

Strong SQL skills and experience with databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).

Practical experience with ETL tools (Talend, Informatica, SSIS) and migration tools (AWS DMS, Azure Data Migration Service).

Understanding of Data Testing principles, Data Governance, and Data Quality Management.

Experience writing and executing test scripts for rule validation and data transformation logic.

Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
-
Ability to manage Risk, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) logs for projects.
-
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks.

Ability to deliver clear and detailed documentation (test plans, test cases, execution results, etc.).

Experience with defect and test management tools (e.g., X-Ray, Quality Center, Azure DevOps).
