Network Engineer
An NHS Foundation Trust has approached Venn Group’s IT Team to secure a Network Engineer for a critical piece of work.
The successful engineer will need the ability to work on their own and manage themselves, as well as demonstrate excellent communication skills and a pleasant personality. They will also need a full valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle as they will be travelling around to various sites in the North East of England.
Key Experience:
- A full years’ experience working in delivering BAU network incidents and queries
- Experience In Microsoft Server Technologies
- Experience of working in a wide area networked environment
- Experience of working in a SAN environment
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and messaging systems
- Experience in routing and switching in a medium to large network
- Experience in wireless, security, or collaboration
- Experience working with, centralised, client management systems
- Complex Configuration, administration, planning, design and implementation of:
- Routers and Switches
- Remote Access solutions
- Understanding of Telephony systems including call manager or similar technologies
- Knowledge of complex infrastructure, networks, servers, security, data, voice and telephony systems and strategies
- CCNA (ideal)
Location: Middlesbrough / Durham
Duration: Contract: until end of March (with realistic possibility of extension)
Rate: up to £16 per hour (+ holiday pay) PAYE or £20 per hour Umbrella
