Operational Resilience & Business Continuity Planning – Programme Manager

Venn Group’s Financial Services team are partnered with a Bank in London to restructure and expand their Projects and Change Management Department.

We are recruiting for a Programme Manager to assume ownership of the Operational Resilience work-streams, assuming responsibility for advising the bank on best practices and ensuring adherence to both internal and external regulations.

The role-holder will be extremely familiar with UK regulatory bodies and regulations (FCA and PRA), with experience interpreting and translating legislation into comprehensive project plans, milestones, and deliverables.

Managerial responsibilities will also be required, therefore candidates with experience overseeing numerous teams simultaneously, chairing steering committee meetings, and coordinating project deliveries internationally across multiple project teams and jurisdictions.

The ideal candidate will have a core understanding of Operational Resilience, Business Continuity Planning, Disaster Recovery, and Change Management, ideally within a Financial Services environment so as to comply with the stringent regulations.

There will be a clear focus on training and motivating existing staff members on new strategies, therefore any evidence of training groups on a structured and ad hoc basis will be extremely applicable to this role.

Many of the projects are related to improving the bank’s functionality, existing policies and procedures, and responsiveness to change management-related projects. The role holder will therefore be required to balance both technical knowledge of various banking systems/processes with business-facing project management and business analysis skills, in order to successful communicate change and facilitate the uniform adoption of bank-wide policies.
