Start: May 2024

Rate: Negotiable rate, Inside IR35 via umbrella 

Hours: Full time, 37 hours

Duration: 3 months initially (likely extensions)

Hybrid working in Hertfordshire – 2 days onsite, per fortnight

Our client is seeking a Placement Officer to join their fast-paced Childrens Social Care Team. The role is for a minimum of 3 months and is on a hybrid basis with only 2 days needed onsite per fortnight.

Requirements:

• To identify, broker and monitor all placements for individual children and young people as identified by an assessment of need
• Ensure service’s brokered are; needs led, represent value for money, are appropriately quality assured and to work in partnership with other agencies
• Maximise good outcomes for children and young people through effective brokering
• To assist in identifying gaps in service provision
• Work with strategic commission in developing a more varied pool of resources to appropriate meet needs, under the children living away from home commissioning strategy

Responsibilities:

• Able to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and hit the ground running
• Previously worked within Children’s Social Care Commissioning
