Private Client Solicitor – Locum
Location: Essex
Start date: November
Duration: Ongoing, whilst permanent recruitment takes place
Working pattern: 4 or 5 days per week, office-based (hybrid may be considered)

A well-regarded firm in Essex is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to provide locum cover during a period of permanent recruitment. Parking is available on site, making the office easily accessible for those commuting by car.

You will manage a varied caseload of private client matters and benefit from strong secretarial support within a welcoming team environment. The firm requires someone with at least 5 years’ PQE who can work independently and deliver a high standard of client care.

The caseload will include:

• Preparing Wills, from straightforward to more complex instructions

• Advising on and preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney and registering existing Enduring Powers of Attorney

• Guiding clients through the process of obtaining Grants of Representation

• Administering estates, including drafting deeds of variation

• Handling Court of Protection applications where required

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ PQE in private client law

• Ability to manage a varied caseload independently

• Strong client care and communication skills
