Project Manager
Venn Group is working with a University in London who are looking for a Project Manager to be responsible for the planning and delivery of a range of projects within agreed time scopes and parameters.
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience)
Location: London (1 – 2 days on site a week)
Job responsibilities include:
- Maintain a competent, skilled, and up-to-date knowledge of programme and project management best practice
- Produce and maintain a portfolio of project documentation which is clear and user-friendly including project initiation documents, RAID logs, and project plans
- Recognise and communicate the PMO vision for project delivery, to ensure stakeholders are fully onboard
- Provide leadership to project teams ensuring that clear direction is given and contribution from all is sought and recognised
- For each assigned project, facilitate the completion of designs and plan the project and its structures
- Monitor progress, schedule, and performance indicators, and ensure that project scope and objectives are clearly defined
- Ensure that technical designs are appropriately validated against existing University services, infrastructure, and strategies
- Ensure that business transformation is embedded into the project
- Delivery of all projects within the agreed time, quality, and cost tolerances (as defined in PRINCE / Agile methodology)
- Manage risk analysis activities and associated risk mitigation for all projects within their remit
The successful candidate will have:
- PRINCE2 Practitioner qualified (must be current) and have IT project management experience
- Advanced MS o365 skills (Teams, SharePoint, Visio, Outlook, Word, Excel etc)
- Demonstrable experience of managing the satisfactory delivery of projects, balancing the relationships of both customer, supplier, identifying and understanding their requirements

- Ability to manage external suppliers to ensure value for money and completion of agreed delivery outputs
- Previous experience within the Higher Education sector is highly desirable
- Experience or knowledge with SITS is also desirable
