Interim Requirement - Consultant in Public Health (Place/Social Determinants)
This leadership role will oversee the Place portfolio and Health intelligence function within the Local Authority.
Reporting to the Director of Public Health, the candidate will be required to;
a) Provide strategic leadership to the Place (social determinants of health) portfolio
b) Effective line management of two analysts
c) Support the continued shaping and delivery of Health in all policies approach
d) Lead on projects including Housing, Mental Health, Employment & Income and Anti-Poverty
The desirable candidate will;
e) Have substantial experience of using NHS data to understand and improve population health
f) Must be registered with UKPHR (or GMC) as a Consultant in Public Health
g) Ideally have experience with Place based public health initiatives, strategies, policy making
h) Hold a strong grasp on data and public health analytics, health needs assessments ect
i) Ideally have experience working within a Trusted Research Environment
Inside IR35, working 3 days per week, with one being in the office
12 month interim contract
