Interim Senior Public Health Analyst
Location: London, hybrid 2 days on site
Length: 6 Months
IR35 Status: Inside
The Senior Public Health Analyst is required to lead and deliver work across several key priority areas, such as turning data into local information to enhance public health intelligence, lead on specific information projects, support evaluation of services and delivering intelligence and surveillance functions on health and well-being of the population.
Key Responsibilities of the Interim Senior Public Health Analyst:
- In-depth knowledge in accessing and utilising a wide variety of national and local data sources
- Experience in undertaking data analysis utilising databases, spreadsheets and a variety common of analytical tools (e.g. Excel)
- Be comfortable in prioritising and reprioritising work, including flexibility to support colleagues with ad hoc requests
- Have proven experience in translating data and intelligence into different forms for a wide variety of audience, including knowledge of key approaches (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau)
- Have good writing skills for different purposes and audiences
- Have knowledge of the use of mapping to provide ‘pictures’ of public health
- Be confident in working with a variety of partners to provide advice, guidance and support on health intelligence
- Able to independently lead on projects and work in partnership with colleagues across place, supported by strategic input from the Consultant in Public Health
Key requirements of the Interim Senior Public Health Analyst:
- Prior experience as a senior public health analyst
- Recent working experience of using Power BI and Excel
- Considerable experience in Local Authority/Health environments
