Qualified Accountant (East Midlands)

We are working with a public sector organisation in the East Midlands who are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic qualified Accountant to assist the authority on their 2025/26 budget and MTFS preparation.

Start: ASAP
Rate: £500 - £550 per day - Negotiable depending on experience (Inside IR35)
Duration: 3-6 Months Initially 
Flexible Hybrid Working Model  

Main duties:

• Budget 2025/26 and MTFS preparation
• Budget Monitoring
• Meeting budget managers

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant
• Local government finance experience
• Senior level Budget setting/MTFS production/experience for the organisation in Corporate Finance environment
• Highly proficient on accounting systems and spreadsheets
• Can work on own initiative
• Good interpersonal skills
