Reconciliations and Returns Officer Vacancy Available

Rate: Negotiable

Venn Group are currently working with a local authority who are seeking a Reconciliation and Returns Officer to work in their Revenues team and to start at short notice on a 6-month contract.

Main duties of the job:

• Prepare and complete Revenues government returns
• Monitor, reconcile and balance Revenues financial systems
• Financial reconciliation of Council Tax and Business Rates/Business Improvement
• Ensure the service complies with new and existing Revenues and Benefits legislation and working practices
• Co-operate and work closely with internal and external audit to ensure consistency with recognised corporate financial control measures

Job Requirements:

1. In depth knowledge of council tax and national non-domestic rates legislation
2. A good understanding of revenues reconciliation processes
