Referable Hub Coordinator Urgently Required
Duration: Permanent
Location: Mountsorrel - Leicester
Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00pm) 1 day working from home
Pay Rate: £18,540 - £20,315 pa
An opening has arisen for a Referrals Coordinator for a Housing Association in Leicester. This position will require supporting customers to sustain tenancies and reduce risk of homelessness.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Support service users/customers to express their needs through the referral/assessment process
- Assess risks to service users/customers and colleagues whilst carrying out the assessment process
- Offer support and advice to customers through the assessment process and signposting customers to external agencies where required
- Support service users/customers to express themselves and make informed choices and decisions about their lives in a way that respects their dignity and rights
- Maintain the waiting list and keep in regular contact with customers on the waiting list offering telephone support whilst they wait for a keyworker to be allocated to them
- Support customers to make grant applications to charities, funding bodies and local authorities to obtain items for their home.
- Complete budgeting information, assessing they meet the criteria prior to completing an application
- Liaise with charities and external agencies to confirm a items are successful obtained for customer
- Access a customer/service user’s eligibility for means and non means tested benefits and supporting them to apply for any eligible benefits
- Maintain an accurate record of all financial information using spreadsheets and database
- Assume responsibility for safeguarding adults and/or children who have needs for care and support, are experiencing, or are at risk of, abuse or neglect, and as a result of those needs are unable to protect themselves against the abuse or neglect or the risk of it
- Maintain Health and Safety and day-to-day records of financial transactions and administration
The successful candidate will have:
- An Enhanced DBS
- Previous experience working in this position / Transferable skill set
- Full licence with access to a vehicle
