Research Grant Officer
We are recruiting an interim Research Grant Officer to manage the financial operations of a diverse research portfolio at a prestigious London university. The post holder will have the full responsibility for post-award processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of research grants and contracts, including claims
- Calculate and allocate overheads, indirect, and estates costs to departments
- Keep accurate account reconciliations and handle financial data for reporting
- Generate invoices and prepare financial statements for sign-off
- Respond to queries from departments and credit control
- Review monthly exception reports and take corrective action
- Support account reviews and ensure obligations are met before closure
Experience required:
- Experience working in a post award capacity within a higher education setting
- Experience and knowledge of costing methodologies including FEC
- Excellent numerical skills and the ability to do complex calculations, manipulate and present financial data
Hourly rate: £26.50 - £29
Duration: 6 months
Location: London (hybrid working with 2 days on site)
