Lead and develop the LSAB to deliver outstanding strategic partnership outcomes across the borough.

Manage the LSAB business planning process and oversee subgroups, ensuring compliance with statutory safeguarding duties.

Provide strategic leadership on safeguarding and DoLS policy and practice, advising senior stakeholders and partners.

Oversee the commissioning and delivery of multi-agency safeguarding training in partnership with the LSAB Independent Chair and key agencies.

Represent the Council in Safeguarding Adult Reviews, ensuring learning and improvement plans are implemented effectively.

Provide expert advice on complex safeguarding and deprivation of liberty cases, including authorising DoLS requests.

Lead on the analysis of multi-agency performance data, ensuring effective quality assurance and reporting mechanisms are in place.

Support the implementation of learning from SARs and chair the Complex Case Panel as required.

Substantial post-qualification experience in a safeguarding leadership role, managing complex, multi-agency issues.

Strong understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and DoLS legislation.

Proven ability to lead strategic partnerships, influence senior stakeholders, and embed effective safeguarding practices.

Skilled in quality assurance, performance reporting, and data analysis to drive improvement.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage, negotiate and build consensus at all levels.

Professional qualification in social work, nursing, or occupational therapy (DipSW, CQSW, RMN, RGN, OT or equivalent).

SWE registration and evidence of continuing professional development are essential.

Management, BIA, or postgraduate qualification desirable.
