Location: West Berkshire
Salary: £26,000 – £27,500 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 1:30pm – 9:00pm
Contract Type: Permanent

A prestigious independent school is seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join its Estates Department. This is a hands-on role supporting the safety, security, and smooth operation of a large and well-equipped educational campus.

Key Responsibilities

• Site security and emergency maintenance
• Event setup and operational support
• Swimming pool testing and fire officer duties
• Maintenance tasks and furniture moves
• Relief cover for Residential Caretaker (up to 25 days/year with accommodation provided)

• A current driving licence
• Experience in maintenance or caretaking (e.g. schools, hotels)
• Physically fit and able to work independently
• Calm under pressure with strong communication skills
