Securities Business Analyst
Venn Group are currently seeking highly experienced Business Analysts with a strong background in banking operations to join a highly reputable Global Bank on an Initial year-long contract basis in the City of London.
This Business Analyst position sits within the project management office and will work closely with SMEs, Transformation, and IT teams to ensure that the Operations department is well-prepared for the go-live date in April 2024. The responsibilities include testing requirements, producing a business readiness plan, supporting implementation of the Target Operating Model, and leading a post-implementation review.
This position is part of major initiative in the Bank's change portfolio, seeking to facilitate a business transfer from one legal entity to another, to achieve a Commercial & Investment Banking model. The programme has a broad scope that encompasses the entire front-to-back trade lifecycle, and impacts several departments including Front Office, Treasury, Operations, Risk, Finance, Compliance, Legal, IT, and HR.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience within Banking Operations working on transformation and change programmes in investment banking, specifically in areas such as user acceptance testing planning and implementation, business readiness planning and implementation, TOM implementation, and post-implementation review. Experience in Operations areas such as trade pre-matching, settlements and confirmations, payments processing, and transaction monitoring is desirable.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in Operations transformation and change programmes
- Experience in Trade pre-matching, settlements, confirmations, and reconciliations
- Knowledge of investment banking products such as Securities (Fixed Income, Equity, etc.) and Derivatives (Futures, Interest Rate Swaps, etc.).
- Experience working in deadline-driven project teams, including conducting workshops with senior stakeholders
- Collaborative working style with IT teams, demonstrating a clear understanding of the business impact of system changes in preparation for go-live
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and build relationships through excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Knowledge of front-to-back processes in typical investment banking trade lifecycles and specialist technical skills
