SEND Tribunals Manager - Remote

A position has arisen for a SEND Tribunals Manager within a Prestigious City Council in the South West.
Location: South West- Remote
Duration: 6 months initially
Rate: £430 per day
IR35 Status: Inside
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, including parent/carers, legal services, schools and colleges.
- Leading in the allocation and attendance processes linked to mediation and resolution of all disputes relating to the SEND Tribunal process.
- Ensuring all documentation linked to SEND appeals are distributed appropriately and within specified time constraints
- Assisting in developing practice which reduces the Local Authority's exposure to risk of appeals to Tribunal, litigation and judicial review/ complaints to the Local Government Ombudsman.
- Stakeholder enquiries, market and event applications, and site maintenance issues
Essential Experience:
- Previous experience and understanding of SEND
- Previous experience of working in a local authority
- Management experience with transitional projects
