Interim Senior Building Control Surveyor
Location: London, hybrid 2 days on site
Length: 3 months (Possibility of extension)
IR35 Status: Inside
The Senior Building Control Surveyor is going to be responsible for the below areas within the Local Authority, very heavily focused on the management of the councils portfolio of buildings
Key Responsibilities of the Interim Senior Building Control Surveyor:
- Vetting of plans for a broad range of projects
- Carry our general site inspections.
- Give general Building Control advise by phone, email and in person.
- Inspect dangerous structures during normal working hours.
- Join the our-of-hours dangerous structures rota
- Creating adequate and timely records of inspections and correspondence
- Assist in the training of Trainee and Assistant Surveyors
- Assisting the Principal Surveyor and the Head of Building
- Control of the team with sundry duties
Key skills of the Interim Senior Building Control Surveyor:
- Have a full corporate membership status of a recognised professional body such as RICS, CABE, CIOB etc.
- Degree in the construction field or equivalent qualification and preferably have a Band C BSR qualification
- Have a minimum of five years’ experience in Building Control
