Interim Senior Financial Accountant Immediately Required

Location: Devon (Predominantly Remote) (Onsite required for Yearend)
Contract Length: 12 months
Hours: 37.5 hours (Mon-Fri)
Hourly Rate: £30.10 - £35.06 via Umbrella (DOE)
Responsibilities include:
- Responsibility for the management and development of all corporate business reporting processes to support the Trust wide finance function
- Ensure that the Trust maintains and develops efficient and effective business focused financial systems and processes
- Responsible for the provision of all financial information within the Trust Board Report, including key data on revenue, capital, cash and working balance financial positions
- Managing the Trust’s cash flow within its borrowing limits, including liaising with external parties, eg. commercial banks
- Production and implementation of policies to manage and report the corporate position on all aspects of the Trust’s revenue, capital, cash and working balance position including stock management
- Provide strategic financial and business planning advice ensuring the information is available to facilitate decision making in all of these areas
- Contributing to the production of the medium and long term financial plan for the Trust, including the long term capital and revenue planning required to support the Trust’s long-term model
- Provide interpretation and analysis of guidelines where necessary to ensure that the Trust’s accounting practice is in line with the latest UK GAAP/IFRS
- Ensuring that the financial systems and processes are efficient, effective and of the highest calibre and integrity and are adapted and developed to meet the organisational and business objectives of the Trust
- Be an active member of the Trust’s Senior Finance Management Team, responsible for providing management, training, motivation, leadership and development to the Trust’s finance team
Essential Skills:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified
- Able to demonstrate management, development and delivery of financial information systems across a whole organisation
- An advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of accounting standards and NHS finance
- Experience handling complex data, advanced Excel (Vlookups, Pivot tables)
