Senior Solutions Architect

A position has arisen for a Senior Solutions Architect within a leading telecommunications provider based in Reading. You will be joining the Technology Architecture team, which is responsible for application security design, architecture, engineering and testing within a project capacity. The successful candidate must have experience developing or designing Remedy from the backend.
Your duties will include:

Planning the timelines for the provision of Solution Architecture artefacts to the project

Signing off requirements with the Business Analyst as well as carrying out requirements management and scope assessments based on technical and budget constraints

Inputs into the estimation process during the Startup and Definition stages of projects Identifying the scope and scale of the change needed to satisfy the project requirements

Work closely with the Business User to ensure all requirements are designed and meet their expectation within the toolset

Present detail design documents back to the Remedy Development Team ensuring Architecture acceptance is achieved, highlighting standards, reuse and alignment of solutions

Producing and owning the Detailed Solution Design Document which will be the reference document for the technical implementation

Alignment of the Technical Solution with project requirements including definition of project phasing and work package breakdown

Review the deliverables produced by the internal and/or external development teams for their projects. Validates the technical specifications produced by the development teams against the solution design

Works with Service Transition on the deployment plans and the non-functional requirements for the solution, this will generally require demonstrations to be run by the candidate

Adhere to guidelines established by (Enterprise) Architecture, Operations, and Information Security for all solutions
Required Skills & Experience:

Detailed knowledge of BMC Remedy ARS and associated components

Good knowledge of software principles and design experience within relevant platforms

Experience in design (preferable development as well) of BMC Remedy, CMDB and Integration of a bespoke application

Impact Model delivery within a toolset such a Remedy understating resilience and weightings

CMDB Data source discovery and population, using discovery datasets and reconciliation

Practical knowledge of a Product Calalog and its use within ITIL and Remedy

Past experience of two way integrations between Remedy and other systems such as event management, device management and third party ticketing systems

Understanding of development methodology and software development
