Service Lead (Population Health Management)
The Service Lead for PHM will provide and build capacity in data science that will support the delivery of PHM for the population of the area. The post holder will collaborate with ICS partners and stakeholders at the system, place and locality levels to identify and prioritise issues.
Using expertise in data science (coding, machine learning and data visualisation), epidemiology/public health and project management, the post holder will plan and lead the analysis and interpretation of large health and socio-economic data sets to generate relevant insights
Role Responsibilities
- Will plan and lead the analysis and interpretation of large health and socio-economic data sets to generate relevant insights
- Clearly and coherently communicate these insights, both verbal and written in manner that engages and facilities collaboration between people from different professional and personal backgrounds
- Be a member of strategic and operational analytical groups from stakeholder organisations working on PHM
- Through partnership with colleagues and external partners, connect different elements of the system and foster a collaborative culture within the organisation and the wider system
- Lead responsibility for providing data science expertise and research findings to enable the design and implementation of the NHSEI supported PHM initiation project
- Provide programme management, coordination and engagement for PHM development initiatives, such as the NSHE&I programme
The ideal candidate will have:
- Substantial experience of leading on the analysis and interpretation of complex data from a variety of sources
- Experience of working a in large complex organisations that provide personalised services to clients
- Advanced skills in programming using R, and Python along with Java, Perl, or C/C++.
- Proficiency in writing and executing complex queries in structured query language SQL.
