Support Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen based in Banbury within a housing association for a Support Worker to help vulnerable adults in their supported living service.
Type: Temporary to Permanent
Location: Banbury
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Shifts across Monday to Sunday, including; sleep-ins
Daily duties:

Working with vulnerable adults within supported living

Supporting customers with Learning Disabilities and Autism to provide practical assistance and emotional support

Helping customers with personal care and helping with cooking/cleaning

Ensuring a person-centred approach in developing their support plans to enable customers to meet their goals

Monitoring and administering medication

Providing advice on day-to-day tasks such as budgeting matters

Developing close links with the local community to help them be involved and active within community activities

Accompanying customers to appointments and out on visits
Essential requirements:

An enthusiastic attitude and keen interest in supporting vulnerable people

An enhanced DBS with the adults’ list checked within three years or the willingness to obtain one

A full valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle is preferred but not essential
